THE WORKS

| For me, the
ocean is a metaphor of the universal presence. Nowhere do I, myself,
feel more present, more connected to the universe, than at the
brink of the ocean. It is an environment charged with enormous
energy that pervades everything and ignites all the senses. The
clifftop vantage point frees me from the dull tyranny of the horizon,
enabling me to structure the picture space dynamically. I like
to telescope the planes of rock ledges, water surface, submerged
kelp and rock, sea floor, and reflected
sky. |
